Hello Everyone. I just bought a Mini-covert and feel it is too flimsy. I like the style but I am less than pleased with the sturdyness of the knife. When bending the pocket clip, very tight when new, the whole frame flexed. The linerlock is pretty much paper thin. The blade is all right but the rest of the knife could generally be improved. Does anyone know of a similar styled knife that is built a bit tougher and specifically something priced below $100?

If you want something in that size range but very high in quality, try a Kershaw Leek.

I like the regular Frame-Lock version, that sells for about $40.00 , but there's more expensive upgraded versions too.

Had mine less than a week and I aready love it , very sturdy , cost effective , great recurve , good looks , great steel.

Have a look at the SOG Pentagon Elite I. The above mentioned BM530 would also be a good choice for a dagger style folder

If you want a dagger relatively the same size but way stronger have you considered a fixed blade. Sting 2 by Kershaw is a great little dagger. Only downside is IMHO a crappy sheath.

I like a folder better than a fixed blade when carrying casualy as it is low key and more sheeple freindly. I am specifically looking at a double beveled blade like the 530 but still smaller. Although I have heard that the BM 530 is slim and light so I would consider it a viable option.
