Gerber Mk 2 blue blade

Well at this pawn shop (that is the story of my life I guess...) I found this Gerber MK2 knife, with original leather sheath. Dates back to 1976.

Now the blade's blue is very well worn. Can it be reblued? Should it even be done?

Now I'd love to post a pic (I have on on my PC... but how???)
