Just out of curiosity, what's wrong with the handle?
I've read good things about Gerber's customer service. And I'm talking about recently.
Thanks. I'll do that.Contact | Gerber Gear

I went to the link you gave me; is this a warranty request? Thanks. I'll do that.
Thanks for the info and sources. Sounds like a good DIY project. You can do it ~ share with you how to go about it ~ as for the handle - you can powdercoat it with a kit + powder $100.00 from harborfreight and bake it in your kitchen oven ~ take care of the pits in the handle with JB Weld then Powder Coat ~ remove the rust with some evaporust from homedepot and some 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper ~ or you can buy a new one ~ or Gerber Warranty ~ Suppose
Thanks for the "welcome" and reply.
Paint is chipped and pitted. Actually the blade is in worse condition, rust and stained with who knows what. I took a couple of pics, but haven't figured out how to put them in the reply. Copy & paste or dragging doesn't work.
Thanks for your help.Yeah, keep in mind what the costs are and what it would cost you to buy a new one, Prices vary depending on the year of manufacturing dates ~ and you can always auction yours. meaning "Sale it" and put those revenues you gain towards the new one ~ something to think about ~ used to have a Gerber Boot Knife ~ MK1 years ago, they fascinated me ~ like the Guardian Now ~ Good Luck to You ~ "Some are as much as a Used Car" ~ Good Grief
