I was cleaning out my knife safe the other day, and found something I'd forgotten I had. This is a Gerber Multiplier, bright polished finish, and marked "1st Production Run". It is still new and unblemished, in the original box. This old girl must be about 10 years old now. What do you think, should I start using it, or leave it new in to box? I can't imagine there ever being any collector interest in it, and I really don't appreciate my Leatherman "Wave" that much. What are your thoughts?? ==Bob

Does yours have the scissors? They suck and dont work for crap, but you dont see many of them with them, they were quickly replaced with something else (the lanyard thing maybe?).

Some of the first ones came with a leather sheath with a metal clip instead of a belt loop.

I dont know if they are worth anything or not, but personally I would keep it put away. Except for the scissors, they were much nicer than the current runs of them.

I dont know what kind of knives you are interested in, but maybe if you dont really want the Gerber, I could find something to trade for it. Email me at richardmt68@wmconnect.com if you might be interested.
