Howdy folks
I was just thumbing through the current edition of American Rifleman. And I saw an ad for the Gerber Myth.
I really don't typically like Gerber knives but I like the looks of this one. So I did a little looking online and found a 2bros video about the entire Gerber Myth line of outdoor cutting tools. I don't really like the looks of any of them except the drop point. To me this knife seems like a Buck Night Hawk but with a shorter blade, which is something I would like. It's even full tang. I don't think Id ever use the built in sharpener on the sheath, but it's not a turn off. And I don't think that I really care for the big plastic/rubber sheath, but I can make a new one probably.
I saw the knife for sale for around $60 and that seems high for whatever the blade steel is. "high carbon stainless"
Does anyone know what the blade steel actually is?
I'm probably much better off picking up a Kershaw hunter or an ESEE3 (and modifying it) but I thought I'd see what you all thought.
