Greetings ... I'm a new member, from Texas ... found you folks in a thread on a gun forum I belong to.

I apologize if I'm bringing up an old topic, but I can't figure out how to do a search here.

My favorite knife in my 50-or-so knife collection is a brand-new Gerber Parabellum. I purchased it years ago, in a multi-position fabric sheath. It has never been used; it was the first knife I ever bought, just loved how it looked but it was too big to carry, esp in Calif where I lived at the time.

I don't know much about it, but I'm sure a lot of people here do. Love to know some background, whether it's worth much now, if others own one.

Thanks!

longbow had a post back in april about them. Not sure what they are worth, but there is one on EBay right now.

A guy I know who spends a lot of time off the grid in nasty places has one, and it is his absolute favorite knife. You might want to hold on to that one.

I got one. Bought it years ago. Keeps a real sharp edge, But, like you said, a little big for edc(I live in California), But a great camp knife. It`s spent a lot of time in the woods with me.

Welcome to BF. You have to have a paid membership to access the seach feture, but you can always use google to do the search.

They are great knives and the first issue sheath is outstanding. It allows you to carry it as a fixed blade. Great general purpose blade shape too. American made in Portland. Keepem sharp
