I've read alot of bad reviews about these, but surely they can't be that bad. I just opened a package and so far there's no bladeplay. The mini paraframe seems like an ok EDC if you don't need to do any heavy duty cutting. What can you guys tell me about these?

I bought a Paraframe once, don't remember if it was the mini or the II, but it was the dullest knife I had ever seen. No bladeplay, and it locked up nice, but I just couldn't stand it being that dull right out of the package. It went right back to the store.

It is pretty damn dull. Any luck sharpening it?

Does this mean you opened the package that the knife came in and there is no blade play, or that you used the knife to open another package and it doesn't have blade play? Either way, your standard is pretty low. Framelock shouldn't have any vertical blade play or horizontal with the right tension, as it has three things wedging to together (sort of like 3 legs make a stable stool). But aside from that, it has issues with ergomics, lock security (I was diggin out a dandilion root and it folded), and excess blade thickness. It was stain resistant thought- a usuable eating out knife if you don't want to dull or others. But unless you are just buying that from Walmart for conveience, there are other usuable $20 knives too (Ka-bar Doziers, Benchmade NRA Fecas Gunstock...)

Actually I used it to open another package too. It has no bladeplay. It is very dull though. I got it on amazon 25 dollars for paraframe and mini. I like the mini. Paraframe is something i'm gonna sell to the pawn shop probably.
