gerber patriot: sell or keep?

Hi, I'm new here but I've read this forum for awhile and you've helped me out with some sweet choices on blades so please help me now. I picked up a gerber patriot at the local flea market for 65 bucks. I bought it because a friends dad had one in the early nineties and its the only other one ice seen. So I waxed nostalgic and paid the man. i had forgotten about the knife until I saw it inthe little shop but anyway, I can't find very much on the net about the knife. Any info or ideas where to look would be great. Curious of value, steel, history anything. Thanks!
