Thumbs down for problems as in how to operate the locking system?
I know, it was so weird having to depress the pivot button with thumb and forefinger and then flipping the entire handle in order have it open or close. Kind of like working in a backwards motion! Complicated but cool once you get the hang of it though.
Perhaps there is some relavant information pertaining to the knife & designer in question at the url below.

I have a drawer full acquired in the late 70's and 80's. I was impressed by the quality compared to your basic Shrade, etc. and the way the sounded like a vault door closing when they locked up. Do a Google on them. There are several different models and styles, some rare, some more common. There are many collectors and it has value depending on rarity and condition.
I like the one I have (original production series) and I don't try to make it something it's not (a gravity knife or such). I just open it two handed like I do all of my traditional folders. The fact that it locks open and closed is a pretty sweet feature.
