Gerber Paul teardown???

I have been using a very nice Lone Wolf Paul design knife for years now. Although I have never really had any problems with it I was looking for something a little better. I then bought a 1996 production Model 2 Series 2 Gerber Paul knife off eBay, since they are no longer in production. The knife was in brand new condition and looked flawless. The push button action worked very smooth. I really wanted a knife to use for I am not much of a collector so I have been using this knife for about 3 months now.

Just here recently I have noticed that my knife has been getting very stiff and sluggish in the action. Before I could hold the knife upright and push the button and it would slowly fall open. Now I really have to help it along. I used no oil or lubricant when I first started to use it. Then after it got slow I tried to use some oil...didn't help...just collected pocket lint and got stiffer. I then used graphite powder which works great but still didn't get the knife in the smooth operation it was before.

I would really like to take the push button action apart and buff the flat surfaces of the knife case and blade that slid together. I am a mechanic and I am very good at this sort of teardown and rebuild however I am not exactly sure how the knife tears down. Anybody have any diagrams or experiance with these knives that could help me out???? Please any help will be great!
