Gerber pixie handle

I picked up an older Gerber Pixie to use as a bird and trout knife,maybe EDC. The thing gets super sharp and I like the blade shape but the cast aluminum handle is really slippery when it gets wet. Any ideas short of sand/bead blasting to improve the grip? Has anybody used these rubber grip in a can products for your tool handles? Spray on or dip the handle?--Thanx for your help.--KV

Try a tennis or golf specialty shop for options on improving grip without damaging the classic handle on your pixie.
