So, does anyone here have any experience with the Gerber EAB since the recall of the original model? I bought one the other day at Cambodian Tire. It seems that the offending area (the finger guard/choil over the back part of the blade) has been beefed up substantially. Lawsuits will do that, I suppose.
I've used it for a couple of lighter chores that I didn't want to bugger up the edge on my Endura doing, like cutting glass wool. I like it.
I also notice that the screw that holds the blade in has had its head changed to the opposite side, and it was changed to a flathead. This appears to coincide with the disappearance of the nail nick. Does anyone know where to get some screws of this size with big knurled heads?
