I just got a gerber prodigy and I love the knife, but I have one small problem. The knife locks into the sheath really good. So good, in fact that I cannot get it to release without using both hands. I was wondering if anybody else had that problem, and if so, what would be a solution.

If it's similar to the LMF II, I found the best way to do it is to place the thumb on the lip of the sheath while griping the handle of the knife, then push your thumb against the lip while extracting the knife

Get a dremel and cut that lip off. Then use some fine grit sand paper to make it look good. You've still got the snap straps so the knife will not go anywhere.

Maybe if you sand the inside of the retainer on the sheath you could loosen it up a bit.

It helps if you use your thumb like a pry bar instead of just pushing. Stiffen your thumb and use your wrist to lever it out. That works for me. Otherwise, try sanding the inside of the lip, as was said before.
