Gerber Prodigy

Can anyone tell me about the Gerber prodigy both good and bad points. Is it worth it? I've been in the market for a new fixed blade for a survival kit. I thought the Gerber LMF II was good, but a bit pricey for me. And can anyone tell me how the Sandvick 12C27 Stainless Steel heat treat (if there is) is on the knife?

I'd go with the LMF, can be had for approx. $20 more and is a lot more knife. Here's a great side by side comparison.
