I was wondering if anybody knows where I can pick up a set of g10 scales for a gerber profile? I want them identical to factory design. factory is rubber and are getting worn out quick..

so since no one has any scales or wants to make any for me. I started to make my own out out leopard wood. here is the progress. I bought a block 12"x4"x3/4" leopard wood shaped and sanded them down to match originals. still needs some sanding finish stain will be linseed oil. gonna use original screws and epoxy to reattach to blade. I was also thinking about removing the gray finish on the gerber to make it bling... what do you guys think i should do? remove gray finish or not?

Those scales look great. I would keep the finish on the blade. It's protective and I think would look good with the leopard wood scales. Also, I wouldn't epoxy the scales on the steel unless you really feel that the screws won't hold them on properly. Then you can make more in the future with different materials by taking them off easily. Maybe try the scales out first no glue to see how they look with the black finish. If you don't like them, then strip the finish off. Post pics when it's all done. Nice job on the scales.

thank you, here is the finish product, just screwed it back together didnt use epoxy to connect just wanna try it out before i fix in for good, I also made a kydex sheath gonna add my leather scout package to it. thanks for the good advice Planetcat. BTW its for my wife

here is a project I made for my wife for mother's day. its a gerber profile with hand made leopard wood scales and a kydex sheath with quick removable belt loop and scout straps. to her request she wanted belt loop with snaps so she doesn't have take her belt off. I used line 20 snaps instead of chicago screws on belt loop
