Hello.

I was wondering if anyone has this knife or even saw it. Got to see it today at a store and though it was pretty cool. I like the blade shape and size, though the pivot and lock are a little iffy to me. Seems like it'd make a good EDC to beat the hell out of lol. Just like my ripstop that is far from looking good/new/clean.

On a side note, NJ sucks. Can't even handle firearms at Dick's Sporting Goods if you don't have your FID...sad state of affairs.

Honestly, I don't think it'll get worse. It just won't get any better.

As for the gerber remix, who knows lol.

I bought one, saw it at Wally World and thought "Thats neater than all get out"

It's a good litttle knife for the money, I've carried it in the pocket at work several times and it's cut rope, cardboard, sheet rubber, and some pretty thick reinforced rubber air hoses with no problems.

It came with a decent edge, but I still tuned it up with a Lansky, and got it shaving sharp. It holds an edge well so far and requires only a stropping to bring it back. I haven't abused it per se, or cut anything really abrasive or hard to test the potential for rolling the edge or damaging it, but for the price I consider it to be a good buy.

A little off topic here but I went into an outdoors store there (Harry's Army Navy) when I was visiting with my Uncle and asked the guy behind the counter to point me in the direction of the slingshot bands. "We don't carry them, slingshots are illegal here." he said. I thought he was joking so I laughed a little and asked again. My Uncle looks at me and goes, "It's true...". You need a license just to own a BB gun!

Bought one at walmart. It comes decently sharp and is actually very comfortable with its index finger hole design. The only reason its not a functional edc is that the locking mechanism hinders the opening and closing. Also the lock release is an uncomfortable spot. Definately not one-handed friendly. Not bad if you just want to collect.

i have one and i absolutely LOVE it it is great for the money oh big deal its a little stiff out of the box it will shave hair right outta the box the lock up is awesome and it holds an edge pretty well so i would say buy it you wont regret it

There are two "versions" of the Remix out there, and beware of the first one. The original is a lighter grey on the handle, and from my experience, has real issues with the locking mechanism having a mind of its own. Just ask the thumb I have no feeling in the top half of. My first, and so far only, knife incident requiring more than a Band-Aid.

The newer version, which is a dark grey, has been quite good to me. Everyone talks down about Gerber knives, and I can understand that. But for what they are and how much they cost, some of them are good buys.

my wife just got one for me for valentines day and it seems like a decent knife. i have cut open clam packs with it and a little wire. the wire i cut was that twist tie stuff that they use to lash kids toys inside of the packages and it damaged the edge pretty good and afterward i use a smooth steel, rough steel, and a stone to get the burs out, now the edge rolls over constantly from one side to the other every time i make a stroke down the steel. alot of these new affordable knives seem to do that. among that type i would also list buck 420hc on all of their newer knives, and byrd 8cr13mov steel. i have been hand sharpening knives for 20+ years and know what i'm doing, unfortunately the trade off in affordability vs steel grade is that they don't have a good heat treat process.

....and its going to get a lot worse with the lunatics in control.

They've been in control for decades. When all is said and done, there are no 'parties' anymore. Just sayin'.

As far as the knife goes, if the price is right and you think it's cool, buy it. Why not, ya' know?:)
