This is a good knife in all aspects except that with all that surface area at the axle joint, it is a difficult thing to open with only one hand with thumb.

The specs for your pleasure:

Blade length: 2.90"
Closed length: 4.45"
Overall length: 7.35"
Weight: 4.20 oz

Blade: 7Cr17MoV Stainless Steel
Handle: Anodized aluminum

I'm just looking for an appropriate and safe for the material oil to lube the joint for easier opening.

Thanks!

Everyone will give you a different opinion on what's best but in reality knife pivots don't require anything special they aren't very demanding on a lubricant so you just want to pick something that's non toxic and doesn't attract dirt. I've found that most of the good gun lubricants also work well on knives. My favorite is Slip2000 EWL but I've also had great results with FrogLube, MillComm, Mpro7, and a few others.

Ah, gun lube, I should have known and as an added bonus, I've already got some of that.

Thank you for the tip.

Youmight want to give it a good cleaning before you lubricate it. Its possible that some dirt or pocket lint got into the pivot and that's what's causing it to be hard to open. Just use an old toothbrush with some degreaser and hot water then blow it out with compressed air and/or wd40 to make sure the water is removed and lubricate with a drop of oil. That should fix it right up.
