Any information or reviews on the Gerber Remix, seems kind of cool with the giant whole and looks like a funky lock system.

As far as I know, the lock is a rendition of the Blackie Collins designed Bolt Action lock. The lock has a lot of potential that I don't think Gerber will ever tap given the quality of manufacture I've seen in their knives for the last decade or so. I have one of the predecessors of the Remix (I believe they called it the Chameleon) with the index finger hole, and in my opinion, you have nailed the knife's strong point...looking kind of cool.

I have a gerber remix and for the most part its decent, it was able to shave hairs easily out of the box and it feels good in the hand...HOWEVER the grease they used really made single hand opening hard, I fixed this by a good clean with some water dispersant spray and fine machine oil. When locked there is a minute amount of play forward and back, not side to side, and i put this to gerbers new name for not being able to hold a tolerance.

Overall its a decent usable knife, its just not on par with other production knives of a similar price.
