I know that there are concerns about Geber quality.
Further, there's some debate as to whether the Ridge is just a CRKT ripoff.
Honestly though, how bad is the Gerber Ridge for $10? It seems like a neat little design. I was considering it as a gift for a NKP relative, but thought that it was a little tough to open one-handed. Not that most NKPs find that critical, unless they open a lot of boxes or whatnot.
Any safety issues from the scarcely-concealed blade? Do these make decent cheap gifts? I do a smattering of overseas work, and thought that these might make nice token presents, especially if I can get a cheap price on a dozen or so.
