I'm currently looking a folding partially serrated knife my budget is small and these 2 (Gerber Serrator & Rat-1) fit that budget... I had been looking at a non-serrated folder (like a Boker Bush Companion) but got the impression the added serrated edges would increase the "application flexibility" 
Other than the Gator having a larger serrated edge (and slightly different blade steel) what else sets them apart? is there anything with similar features in this market price segment?
