gerber strongarm FAKE

so i took a chance. spent 17 bucks or so on a knife that looks like a strongarm from aliexpress. wasnt expecting much. but i had saw a video where a guy reviewed one on youtube. he started using it had a puzzled look on his face. he started thinking it was real because it was doing so well. so he asked viewers if they had ever seen this before.

well i had it now for like a week. and i been beating the hell out of it. it hasn't broke. it hasn't bent. heck the coating isn't even coming off yet. i been stabbing it in trees, batoning. tip testing. light prying with it. digging a little. de-limbing a oak tree. (im in ga. and we had two trees fall in our yard from michael. no damage to home but dont have any power. running a generator)

does anyone happen to have any info on this knife? the site gives some specs. says its made from 12c27 steel.(like is this chinese made steel or made else where?) it gives all the dims also. the sheath seems nice and durable. i never owned a real strongarm and probably never will unless they take it back down to like 40 bucks. so nothing to compare it to.

Pretty far away from April One but I'll bite. No one has any spec's because the folks making the fake knives don't provide trustworthy details.

Why would you even think that a company that exists to steal IP from their competitors won't steal your money with their fake product?
 
i certainly dont feel ripped off. it cost me 17 dollars plus shipping lol. im amazed to be honest. it seems tough as nails....

How are they "behind" selling it?

You bought a stolen knife.

Its not really something to be proud of, particularly on a site full of people who have a great passion for knives and the people who make them.

You can hardly be surprised that folks here do not take kindly to it.
 
i reported the post to be taken down. yes i am surprised they made a "good" copy. i guess i dont have passion like you do for knives. basically i dont have alot of money and if i can get more for less of it; im gonna do it. that was my thoughts....
 
There are a number of threads on clones and counterfeits and the majority opinion on them and why the majority here doesn't support them and don't look favorably on those who support them.

We are also happy to help you or anyone find great knives at a great value.
 
oh,ok. well im not into the politics of knife making. i just wanted to get my moneys worth on a product that i could use . get some use out of it and if it was broken or i dropped here in the woods i wont feel so bad about it. thats all. simple to me.

I see you just have a lovely conversation with mistwalker about a knife he designed.

So, if you could find a cheaper knife that stole his design, you would be good with buying that because its not hurting anybody?
