This is a Gerber Vintage Original TAC II Military Survival Knife with the locking sheath. The total length of the knife is almost 11" and the blade itself is 6" long and double edged. Steel is 13C26 (razor blade steel); all TAC Is and TAC IIs were made of this steel. Blackie collins is the designer. The handles on TAC IIs are molded Zytel, full-hidden-tang. It has been lightly used but never sharpened. The things I see wrong with the knife are the markings from taking it out and in of the locking sheath. The locking mechanism works great. This is not a reproduction or commemorative, but the real thing as the serial number starts with an A. It is marked "First Production Run 1985". This knife was featured in the movie Big Trouble in Little China with Kurt Russell in 1986.
