Gerber tungsten wire cutters

I love my gerber multi tool, but these brittle carbide wire cutters are terrible wish they would do better and replace the cutting part

I saw the center drive in local hardware store and was surprised how expensive it was (made in USA, supposedly). I got intrigued and watched some reviews but got underwhelmed by the performance. The cutters are indeed a head scratcher.
