I have a Gerber Utility Bowie from the 80's and am considering rehandleing it with some exotic wood. Problem is that I dont know what the tang under the rubber handle looks like and I dont want to cut away the rubber only to find that the tang isnt workable. Does anyone have any insight as to how the tang looks and what kind of dimensions I will have to work with?
