Which of the three brands do you guys think is better? I got Gerber and it is a good knife to carry. I’m either going to try sog or crkt, leaning toward sog. How does the three brands compare? What is everybody’s thoughts?

None of the above, they're all low quality now. You would be better off with a USA made Buck, a Case or an Opinel.

Order of precedence.
CRKT
SOG
Buck
Ozark Trail
Something else
Gerber
Bark River

Hey Gerberbetterthanbuck, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, but your posts are starting to seem obnoxious.

There's an old saying on this forum "Read more, post less". It's very rare that I give that advice to people because it can really come across as rude, but you've convinced me that you could benefit from reading more and posting less.

You only get one chance to make a first impression, and you only get one chance to correct yourself and make a "comeback", but I think you are blowing it.

If you are a troll, then my words are wasted, if you are sincere, then I highly recommend a change of course or you could find yourself both very unpopular, and the butt of merciless jokes at your expense. And quite frankly, I think it might already be too late.

And for anyone reading this wondering what I'm talking about, starting multiple threads within a few hours to ask people to offer comparison opinions on knife brands that are well-known to be low-quality, really comes across as trolling, and obnoxious, and less than genuine, especially when the OP has already been heavily admonished by a Moderator for previously doing just what I've described.

What is your fascination with Gerber, S&W, and SOG knives?

There are many other well made knives for the same price (or less).

it just depends on the model, i love my crkt hissatsu and my sog california special auto, in fact i have a second sog ca auto on the way in case i ever lose my current one and i also have more than one hissatsu folder

Learn to use the "Search" function. Search for the knife manufacturers and models you are interested in...or search in google and read the threads it comes up with here and elsewhere.

Your wide open "this or that" threads are tiresome to most all of our members and I can assure you that continuing down this road of "A, B or C" is going to end up with you on the outside looking in.

Take the advice, or live with the result.
