So I have his Gerber multi tool for a number of years maybe 25 or so and the philips head driver is worn out, If I send it in will they fix it or send me a new tool? I do not believe they make this any longer. Are Gerbers still made in the USA? are they good with fixing/ exchanging?

Personally, I'd e-mail Gerber's customer service BEFORE I sent it in for repairs -I think that most of their newer stuff is made "off shore" and I don't think at 25years old the parts would still be available for your tool even though the 600's are still around - but ask anyway BEFORE you send - I have a 600 series in black with a fuse crimping notch, USA made and I know I would not send that in. Go to the Gerber website and contact customer service - I had an issue with the sheath for a Suspension MT - and they replaced it within a week, but that's just a new sheath. The point is -they do get back to you in a reasonable time. My black 600 is "retired" but I do like the Suspension and have not had any other issues with it. Some folks refer to Gerber as "POS" - I don't have a real problem with their stuff at all and I do use Leatherman's products as well.
Peace

Congrats on wearing out part of a multi tool. I keep buying them and never seem to carry one long enough to do that.

I have an older model LM Wave that I carried for a few years - that's the closest I've come.

I'd like to see pics if you have them.
