Gerd Haslauer comes from Austria, for me he has just made 2 knives out of my stainless damascus.

- A SBH Mid with Balbach-stainless damascus in the pattern: "masame cross", zirconium and titanium hardware.
- No. 2 is an SGF Mid with Balbach-stainless DSC® in the pattern "large rhombi", Lightning Strike-carbon and titanium hardware.

I like the contrast between blade and handle on the first knife. Your damascus is "wicked good". Going in the "opposite" direction with the pattern provides a kind of illusion of a wave across the blade where the pattern crosses the grinds. Neat.

This pattern "masame cross" is often used by knifemakers, here in Germany. We produce this pattern in stainless and not stainless quality as well.
