Saw this thing for sale on the well known auction site.
What IS it? Is this another of Jim Frost's brands made from "German Steel" in Pakistan?

Sadly this is why I by pass many nice looking "German" knives these days.

Looks very simar to my rough rider congress. Nice knife, but it's a shame how difficult it is to get knives from Germany nowadays.

I take it you mean "Yes this is a Pakistani knife" :)
I've got no idea whatsoever...and that's the reason. I just don't know what
"made in germany"
"made in solingen"
"german steel"
"solingen steel"
"assembled in china but actually made of german stuff"
"assembled in germany by full german people out of stuff thats been back and forth to china or pakistan or somewhere"
OR any other of the hundred and one ambivalent and, to be quite frank, confusing and to my mind dishonest terms really mean.
I'm talking about government trade policies and regulations so yknow very high BS factor- Apology in advance if I've over stepped the don't talk politics boundary.

Generally -look at the price and that will give you an idea of where things are made.

Sorry to be a downer mate.
But on the other hand -your pakistan made?? german knife looks really good and is probably not bad value.:)
