german eye brand

I would say that the current stuff is mainly stainless. seems like most are call german stainless, whatever that is, if anyone knows, I'd love to hear! don't know about the older knives though or if any specifically are made with carbon.

The current eye brand are made by Friedrich Olbertz. If it's carbon bladed it has carbon springs.

My 99S-DS, which is a 4 5/8" with a saw blade secondary and 'deer stag' handles has a carbon steel blade (not sure about saw blade) and been in regular outside use for about 7 years and the springs still look shiny new which suggests stainless springs.
However, my older 5 3/8" 2 blade folding Hunter has carbon steel blades and carbon steel springs.

This one has carbon springs as well, and it's of relatively recent vintage.

I have no idea what the back springs are in mine, I just like the way it looks! That eye logo is almost hypnotizing
