German Eye stockman?

I'm suffering from a growing desire for more stockmans (stockmen?). I've got an older Queen that's so-so and a recent Case yellow handle that really floats my boat - much better than I expected based on what you read on these forums.

Anyway, I'm casting some longing looks at the German Eye stag stockman lately. Got one? How do you like it?

And what are "Solingen Steel blades"? I'm hoping that's some kind of double speak for CARBON STEEL!

Ah, Stockmans! My favorite carry knife. I have an older Eye brand four and a quarter inch stag Stockman and it is of high quality for a production knife. The steel is high carbon and takes and holds a razor edge. If you're happy with your Case, you will be more so with an Eye. Where did you see it? Online, catalog or store?

I have a stag Eye Brand stockman in my pocket right now, it is a permanent part of my daily rotation. I really like it. And yes it is carbon steel. I like the way that Eye Brand knives usually come with a very fine edge, great cutting machines.

Thanks for the input guys. Bods - I've only seen 'em online, never handled one in person.

Looks like I'll probably get myself one now...
