I'm sure many of you have some German Eye brand knives. How are they? I'm looking at a couple of thier sodbusters, and I've gotta say I kinda like the full size yellow celluloid handled, 4.5 inch, carbon stell blade version. Of course. Post pics of yours, please.

Thanks,
Will

The EB's, are good knives. Check out Bulldog Brand, also. My Case Soddie, overall, has the best F&F. My Red Bulldog has the most solid lock-up. I can't do pix, yet, sorry. Good luck!

I have the large and the jr. model sodebuster by EyeBrand. Great cutting machines. Both of mine have rosewood handles. Nothing pretty about em but they do the job they were intended for. For fit and finish my Case Sodbuster with carbon steel blade is beats out my two Eye Brand sodbusters.

Alright, on a little bit different subject, does anyone know where I can buy an old-fashioned back pocket pouch for like a pocket knife and a pen? It'd be about the same size as a wallet, made of leather...I've seen a few on this site.

Thanks,
Will

Hmmm, that can't be good. ;)

Blues and Co.---I'm trying to track down a carbon steel Case---
Sodbuster!! Rich, at Case, told me they are only doing SS at this time. He also added that Case, is really busy and are hiring more personnel! That's good news!

Rolf, if you're looking for the full size, I bought a mint 80's 10 Dot online recently for about $25 shipped. (Not at that auction site.) They are out there but let's not hijack this thread.

Those who can help Lycosa, please do so via PM or email.

I'm kinda starting to get into old fashioned slip-joints. I had the chance to pick up an old German pocket knife (from the '30s) at a city wide garage sale, but wasn't interested.
Anyways, I have a yellow handled Case medium sized stockman(CV), my dad has his old Schrade yellow handled stockman..I was sort of looking at German Eye's Large Yellow Stockman. Any good? Also thinking about a Boker stockman, probably with jigged green bone scales. I guess I like Germany. Any advice would be appreciated, as I'm only 15.

Thanks,
Will

Will---It's best if you can look at the knife first hand before you buy it. Quality is universal! :)

Do any of you have a picture on hand of a close up quality picture of a German Eye full sized yellow stockman? Also, I live in Lampasas, Texas...there are only about 8,000 people here. I've checked the only place that sells knives and they didn't know of a German Eye Brand. Crazy. But that picture would help alot.

Thanks again,
Will

I know this isn't the full size sodbuster, but it's all I've got - included in this group is the sodbuster jr.

Thanks man. It looks like the handle scales are being seperated from the bolsters..Also, what is the blade steel? 1095?

Thanks,
Will

Eye Brand knives are not known for top fit and finish. They have a good rep for being good, affordable using knives featuring good carbon steel. Not sure if they use 1095 or other carbon steel.
