German Puma Ranger

About a year ago, I traded a friend for what I believe is a '70s Puma Ranger that was made in Germany in the 1970s. I'm still not sure if that is what it is. So, I was hoping that someone would know for sure.
It has two folding blades with no lock on either and red bone handles. On the box is what I believe is a model number. 48 0250R. The primary blade is stamped with Puma Germany on one side and Stainless on the other. No stamps or markings of any kind on the other blade.
If you know anything about it, please let me know.

Lots of information out there on Puma knives as they were so popular for so long. To me, these were the top of the heap of luxury knives in the 60s and the start of the 70s. Rumored to actually be mostly hand made (and proudly emblazoned on each knife at that time) these were really nice knives.

I have a older Game Warden, and stockman, and a couple of others.

Go to Google and search "Puma knife forum" and you will probably find all you want, including information from this forum.

A long time ago while helping a friend with finding the value of his knife, I found a guy that was a specialist in Puma (only) knives and I have to say he might know more than the factory about the history, variants and value of Puma knives. He was invaluable in helping me find the value of my Puma 5 star. He used to go by "pumaknifeman" or something very similar.

Nice knives, those old Pumas. If it is a vintage model, hang onto it. They haven't made knives that nice in a few decades.
