I came across a German Rooster 4 blade today at a local pawn shop. I believe it’s a congress. I’m not familiar with that brand and I’m not having much luck finding information. Before I buy it I would to know more about it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
 
There are a few different knife brands made in Germany that had "Rooster" in their name. Likely to get a positive ID and info you'll need to show a photo of the knife, and a closeup of the tang stamp.
 
German Rooster is a separate brand, part of something called the German Heritage Series. There are similar knives marked German Creek also. No idea who makes them but most likely Chinese origin.
The ones I have seen are marked Solingen Steel, but nowhere does it say Made in Germany.
