I just want to inform and warn you if you plan hollidays in Germany:

A new law will soon (~ April 08 ) ban to carry a lot of knives:

ALL fixed with more than 12cm blade and
ALL one hand opener ( this isn`t clear til now, maybe only if it lock open )

I´ll keep you informe here asap

That is a really bad law !!! Germany the land of great knives bans them !!!!! How about switchblades, can they still be sold? Keep us informed !!!

That's some bad news... Will they even forbid them when you're carrying for a reason? (camping,...)

BTW, Have you got a link to a source with more information about this law? (doesn't matter if it is in German)

I believe they where banned in 2003, but can't be sure or know the details.

*Old law: switchblades are illegal to own, buy + sell here since 2003 with some exeptions, depending on bladelength and shape,
totally illegal: balisongs + pushdaggers + otf.

*New law: there maybe will be a "legal reason"
but till now noone knows how it will be definited (sp?)
