What do you guys think?
I'll donate the proceeds (sale minus materials) of one of the first K-TUSK knives I made - and kept for myself - (probably around $100)....to help get a Cantina member to the Blade Show.
(Yes I'm up past my bedtime....but I'm doing CAD work...and I don't drink.
)
I think if we could raise about $6-800, that ought to cover a plane ticket to Atlanta from pretty much anywhere in the USA...and have some left over for a hotel room and meals.
After we raise the money...we could hold a contest and pick a winner.
I don't expect everybody to pitch in a lot...but $10 and $20 here-n-there really does add up fast!
We could also take donated objects to be sold.
Mod Note: ...if this ends up being inappropriate for this forum...then we can take it off-list. I put it here because it's quite relevant to the Cantina. That said, I'll gladly manage the list/emailing (quite easy on my end) - but will need a volunteer to be treasurer - preferably someone already definitely going to Blade.
Everyone can be a part of this...old timers who have been to many shows already...new guys who have never even met up with another knife-nut...budding knifemakers...enthusiasts...collectors...
Let's all pitch in and get somebody to Blade that's never been before and would like to go. Those who have gone "know"....
