Having a heck of a time getting it sharp, used my Sharpmaker, and not having much success. I'm a newbie but I can get hair popping on my Paramilitary, Tenacious, etc.. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks in advance.

You probably haven't apexed yet. Do you have diamonds? 10V is very abrasive resistant. Means it will take forever on medium stones and a long time on diamonds.
 
You can try putting a more obtuse angle on it. When you swipe on the left stick, rotate your knife from 12'oclock to 1'oclock, and when you swipe on the right stick go at 11'oclock. Hopefully that is enough to swipe on the very edge. If you had a way to do a full reprofiling at say 30° you could easily touch 10V or any steel up on the brown stones. My guess is that you're hitting on the shoulders and not at the actual edge.
