Get-A-Way Driver (CRKT) question

Just got this multi-tool, with four removable bits, this PM.

How, during carry via the caribiner, do you keep the chuck (bit-holder) from falling out?

Protruding from the bottom end of the tool's body, the removable chuck points toward the ground when suspended by the biner and seems to be held in solely by a tiny spring-loaded ball bearing. A slight tug on the chuck, while in storage position, pulls it free easily. I would expect to lose the chuck right away when carried hanging from the biner.

Thank you kindly.

Yah, good question!

I was at a store last weekend, looking at two brand new Get-A-Ways. On one of them the spring ball on the hex adapter did not engage the detent hole at all! Simple gravity was enough to make the adapter fall out and get lost. :thumbdn:

On the second one the ball engaged crisply into the detent hole (as shown in your third picture) It took a pretty fair tug to pull it loose. Great right? No, because this only worked right if the hex was oriented so the spring ball lined up with the hole! Any of the other five orientations and the hex adapter falls right out.

Ugh, I'm thinking the design could stand a few refinements.........

Isn't this Blade's "multi-tool of the year" multi-tool? I bot the sizzle again...

Anyway, its safe to keep in my desk drawer.

Perhaps version 2.0 will be carriable.
