Just ordered a Ronin :D I'd appreciate some positive feedback and photos to hold me over until it arrives.

Thanks,

How thick of stock is used in the Ronin. Will the tip hold up to heaey use.I am looking for something that will hold up to light prying and digging around in soil.

I would strongly urge you NOT to use the Ronin for prying. It's got a needle tip and is not designed for that.

Thats kind of what I figured.I would like to go with a spydie fixed blade but I guess a Greco or becker would fit my needs better.

I couldn't agree more Phil. The right tool for the right job. If you can plan for it that is. I plan on my coming Ronin being a lighter duty utility and SD knife second. Most all of my knives are tool centered. The SD application is secondary. Heavy jobs get picked up by my HI Khukuris. I do not mind having to dig a hole with one. They are beasties. The Ronin looks more light work centered. I will know more Friday when mine comes in!!:D

Ronin arrived today. I am quite pleased. This will now be my primary SD knife and also my first fixed blade SD knife. I'll still carry my folders but they will serve as general utility and SD backup to the Ronin. I set up the sheath for reverse grip deployment. It'll also be good for cutting limes for my Tanqueray and tonics:D

Thanks to Knife Outlet for the quick delivery. I paid for second day and got overnight!
