I saw these on a post here before so I haunted the Georgia outdoors forums where he posts stuff for sale and finally snagged one!

Ta-Bar Tool! Just arrived today!

I really wanted one of these because for me the biggest survival tool I need in the woods a lot of times and the thing I always can't find is a bottle opener! While I am quite adept at using various things to open beer bottles it's a PITA and can hurt my hand sometimes.

I really like this! It is light so I don't really feel it when I am wearing it. And in one neat little package I got a knife, bottle opener, screwdrivers and a prybar. Pretty sweet. It's also got a ruler on it, inches and half inches.

Mine is the orange paracord one.

That's a great little tool that has quite a few uses. I'll have to look into getting one for myself.

That's really neat, who makes it?

Yup CRKT will be coming out with a version soon the guys name is Raleigh Tabor. Seems to just sell on that Georgia Outdoors site. makes some nice stuff very reasonably priced for being handmade stuff. I could have waited and got the CRKT version for probably 1/2 the price of the original but I couldn't wait ;)

did he sell the design to CRKT as well? Think mntmanmike posted something about em..

CPM-154 stainless they are 1/8 thick and around 6in long weighs around 6oz. In looking for what steel it is I learned it's more tools than I thought it is 8 different tools in one Pry bar, Flat Screw driver, Wire striper, file (I thought this was just knurling for grip but after reading that I realize you could file with it) ruler, knife, bottle opener and 1/4 hex bit.

Thanks for the kind words .i hope you injoy them--The tool weighs 1.6 oz.
