A Crow for $90...I'd buy it myself, if I hadn't just bought another, and need to save some money.

I second that. The price is $45 less than I paid for my Crow, which was virtually the same. Big a$$ knife! :p
 
I would love to have the Crow....

But I just found out that I don't have enough points to make E5...
something they could have told me BEFORE I spent two weeks putting my packet together and sending it to the board!

So no new toys for a while. :(

Looks like a good motivation to get some schools/correspondence courses done to me.
My next board is one of the hardest to get promoted on - SFC/E-7. I have to actually attend a school (BNCOC) (for those that don't know Army acronyms: Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course) before that one. I can submit my board packet next month, but have to have the school to get the promotion, even if selected.

Wrong week. The Jetta's due for its 30,000 mile maintenance. The woman on the phone quoted me $535 plus tax. That's a kingly chunk of change on a CO's salary and to make things even more interesting, my overtime seems to have evaporated. The situation is under control but the "fun" slice of the budget pie has gone to the car this pay period. I'm still leaning towards the khukuris but they won't help me get to Shelton and that's quite a walk.

On a positive note, there'll be no sniping from me until the 10th. Plan accordingly. :)
