I had to go back and put the sheath pictures in the first post. Check 'em out.

My response when the HPD was just a drawing...

I'll preface this by saying I'm not a bowie fan at all, in fact, it's probably my least favorite style of fixed blade. That said, in the short time I've been hanging around on BF, there are probably 10-15 bowies that have really got my attention. Two of them are in the sketch you posted. The rest of them are Lamey masterpieces or uber high end custom/art knives. I guess that's a roundabout way of saying you've got a super nice design there. I could potentially see myself owning one of those.

All of that still applies. Awesome dude, just awesome. I'm lovin the contrasting pins on the bolsters/handles.

Guys, this knife is sick! The grinds are perfect, and come to a really fine edge. Dylan took it out yesterday and beat on it real good too. Even stabbed that fine tip into planks and twisted the knife agressively. He's nuts. It came out without damage though. 01 is a very impressive steel if you're a cutter. Apart from that the thing is just a gorgeous piece. Somebody is going to really be happy with this knife. (Probably Dylan. He's his own favorite customer.)

Now that is one awesome-looking knife! Though it is probably too early to ask, is there any pricing information and when these will become available?

P.S. I am new to Fletcher Knives, just found out about them recently and am looking into some of their models.

These are going to be $450 for the basic model with canvas micarta scales (just like the one you see here). I doubt I'll be able to get to work on more of these before Blade Show, but after that, they'll be available for dibs on the regular.

Holy crap! Like Andy said .... It's sic!! D*mn nice work!!:thumbup:

Awesome work Dylan. That knife looks awesome. What are the specs on it?Will it come with a sheath?

Mike

The specs are:

Total Length: 15.5"
Handle: 5.25"
Blade: 10.25"
Blade hickness: 3/16"
Convex Saber Grind
Price: $450 for Basic Model (without sheath)
The leather sheath will be $75 extra if I make it. I know that's steep for a sheath, but I have to do all the work including the sewing by hand since I don't have a sewing machine. It takes me all day to make one of these.
