232.JPG Well I've had sharpie on the Contego about a year now and I thought I'd get it off. See I was wondering if I was hitting the edge as a sharpen and I do but the sharpie does not come off cerakote like it does steels. Should I use paint thinner? Won't that strip the coating? Also why did this need to be coated as the M4s Manix isn't? I'd like to see this big honkin' Osborne knife all shiny.

edit: forgot the picture

Used 71% and it kinda dulled the sharpie then soap and water removed the rest. Strange. Man this M4 is so sharp. A shame it didn't take off.

91% isopropyl alcohol takes it all the way off every time. You may have to soak it depending on the material, pvc plastic needs a decent soak while glass seems to clean off easy.

It even works on clothing that has been through the dryer! Having forgetful family members leaving a sharpie in their clothing and having it explode in the dryer taught me that. The Ex freaked out at first till I got the ink out. It worked on colors though, I don't know if it would work on a load of whites?

I use acetone to get sharpie off about anything in my shop. Same ingredient in nail polish remover.
