A recent thread on heat treating information resources brought to mind an old favorite site. Bob Egnath was one of the greats, among other things turning out hoardes of preground blanks for makers to turn into knives. We lost him some years back - I heard due to lung problems related to the stuff we all know we should protect ourselves from - but let it slip just every now and then.
I suspect there may be a whole new generation of makers who have never heard of Bob.
