Straight from the latest AARP magazine where Melissa Gotthardt mentions a German study that concludes that people that ate on average of 3.5 ounces of cocoa products daily for two weeks not only lowered their blood pressure but reduced their risk of heart attack and stroke by 20-30%.

I'm so glad I'm a choco-holic! Now I don't feel so bad about having some on hand in my shop for a spot of energy now and then. I haven't ever been able to walk past a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup without buying one of those 4 packs. Its a good thing afterall! :D I think that calls for a spot of chocolate my friends.

Good to hear, STR ! I like chocolate myself and have all the health problems ! Just one problem, I am also diabetic, darn it!!

A great excuse to chow down. So now I will grab another chocolate cookie, and why not just another one after that. Yummy yummy good.:D

I think they mean dark, dark chocolate... Now they have to prove that butter and sugar are good for you...

Now now. Don't burst my bubble here! :D

Yeah, being a new kid on the block, I didn't want to be the one to deliver the news. It is dark chocolate, preferably 70% or better, though somewhere in the 60's ain't too shabby. The key is, the less processing the better, just like most foods. If you can get a hold of straight, unprocessed caocao, you will live forever.

Men have known for a long time that you can lower your wife's blood pressure by giving her chocolate.
