I had one of these awesome pistols a few years ago, but foolishly traded it off. Now, I finally am able to replace it. I only hope that this one comes close to how reliable and accurate the last one was. That .357 Sig cartridge is some awesome cartridge! 100 yards away, it still has the same velocity as a standard 9mm Para does out the muzzle. I fired well over 1000 rounds with the old pistol, and NEVER had a single jam or feed problem. Try that with an out of the box 1911( and I love 1911s also). I am also getting the .40 barrel and a bunch "O" ammo. Of course, I had to give up a fairly expensive bowie, but I think its worth it.

Here's my all-stainless Sig P229 in .40 caliber that I picked up earlier this year. What a pleasure to shoot. You'll love yours.

BTW - I know what you mean about the 1911. I traded this Kimber Ultra CDP in on the Sig. Even the "custom shop" Kimber had failure-to-feed and jamming problems. Absolutely unacceptable in a gun that cost that much.

I've got a bunch of Sigs...and they all perform like "Customs" right out of the box. A great shooter!

I got a great deal on my Sig 220 it had been shot a lot, really a lot, no one trusted it, I bought it, have put thousands of rounds through it, not one problem that was the pistols fault. It is almost as accurate as my Swenson conversion and that is saying a lot. No other center fire pistol comes close.
