How many of you out there have a problem with the grip slipping . Problem solved !!
Just go to any sporting goods store or walmart and get some tennis racket grip tape.
It looks good and grips like HELL . I even took it off after a few days and didn't have a problem cleaning the stickyness off of the grip .

I use Easton baseball bat wrap. It's not as cushiony as tennis racket wrap but it's stretchy and leaves no gaps even over the center ring. Also it's only sticky on one end so it doesn't leave any gunk when removed. The other end is secured with a little black electrician tape. I agree it makes a big difference in the feel. I think it distributes the pull over my whole hand not just the center ring.

I just finished working on a Cold Steel Bushman knife this weekend.

First I used a grinding wheel to remove the yucky black coating and to thin out the way-too-thick edge somewhat. Then I smoothed it out with sandpaper up to 220 grit to prepare it for Yvsa's traditional mayonaise patina method.

I left it overnight, and returned the next morning to discover that the mayo coating had given me a whole new meaning for the term "rancid," as well as providing the knife with a dark but splotchy patina. I think it needed a thicker (REAL thick) coat of mayonaise.

I cleaned it off with soap, water, and oil and applied tuff-cloth to preserve the carbon steel, and then wrapped the integral steel handle with non-sticky black tennis racquet wrap. (Actually, it was sticky on the end I used to start it.)

When I got to the end of the roll, I mixed up some epoxy and glued down the end of it, holding it in place with a few rubber bands.

I took the rubber bands off the next day and showed my dad my completed project with its new "Folsom Prison" aesthetic.

I don't think I gonna try the method as the handle rig looks too beautiful to be hidden under tennis racket tape... for now, at least.

Hmm...tennis racket tape on the handle... do you guys think it will give a lot of convenience for carrying your khuuk around without attracting your neighbours' attention even if the handle sticking out of the sport bag?

Hmm ... then if you put a buffalo horn handle and a brass pommel on a tennis racket ... then people will think ... hmm ...

How about just a couple patches of friction tape?THen the overall look wouldnt be diminished and it would probably help enough so youd be comfortable.
