The blade is a user. A forum member mentioned that it might be hers after she traded it out.

Can anyone with a Pinnacle 750 tell me if they think this blade was originally partially serrated and then reground?
The person that I am getting it from said that he just sent it to Benchmade to get freshened up. I hope they put in bronze washers.

It's an oldie but goodie. I traded a Spyderco Ambitious, Fixed blade Skyline +$70 for it. Can't wait to get it in the mail.

It looks like it WAS partial serrated blade on it because of the recurve in it. Nice knife though it has been put through the ringer. Real question is how is the lock-up on it?

The previous owner said lockup is solid in all directions and blade was centered. Such a small world if it was the forum member's knife as I had asked her what I should pay for it. It must have exchanged hands three or four times before reaching me.

I think its fate though as I was about to pull the trigger on a bm nagara 10700. I went to go buy it and it had sold already. Found this two days later looking for another nagara.

Lots of wear on that great knife, but the blade did come with a recurve from the factory. Nice edge; lots of life left. It Is possible the serrations were ground out though, that's a lot of metal lost in the process of life as a knife. ;)

Exactly! Metaphysically they are absolutely organic and can change form even though they are inorganic in matter. It's what I love about receiving used knives in the mail!

I owned one about 16 years ago. I can tell you for sure it's got a lot of metal ground off of it. It looks sharp though, nice knife.

I know it's a real long shot but I'd call Benchmade on Monday and ask if they still have any replacements blades left for the Pinnacle.

You never know and might get lucky because if they do it's only $25 for a replacement blade. Like I said, real long shot can't hurt to ask right?

Great find by the way!

Had my 750 at bench made a couple of months ago and was told that no more blades available, they took care of the lock up but said I should retire it. Bummer

That's too bad, still a great find and knife to have.

They said the same thing about my Sentinel. No more replacement blades available but they still fixed it up nice. Fortunately the blade was still in pretty good shape.

I'll say this, BM will do their best to try and help you if they can though.

How long have you had your
750s in use its a somewhat old knife from what I understand? I think I can get a lot of use out of this one.

I had mine as an EDC for 10 years, and I did not baby it as a remodel contractor. I got it second hand. The blade coating is not as worn as yours but it developed rock lock so sent it in to Benchmade to get that fixed and had it sharpened. I have not used it since. Nice knife but their are a lot of other nice knives out their.

Sorry to wake up a semi-zombie thread, but I think your blade just may have been partially serrated. For comparison, here's my PE knife that I purchased new. It has been sharpened a lot, but compare the distance from the edge to the grind line between your knife and mine.
