I have a brand new 750BT coming in the mail and I am terribly excited. This is a grail knife for me.:D :triumphant:

I will be posting pics here when I receive in a few days. In the mean time, can anyone tell me about theirs and what you think about this model? I know it was originally like Benchmades relacemnt for Sebenza. I never even held one in my had before and there are only 2 youtube videos out there on the Pinnacle...and those are used ones.

I see it as a bit of history when the first all Titanium models started becoming more popular.

I bought the uncoated version brand new when it first came out. Well not the original run - that one was actually a little different. They changed the lockbar. Anyway, I loved the knife except for the cheesy plastic backspacer. I gave it to a friend long ago. I kind of wish I had it back or at least I wish I could handle it again to refresh my memory. I thinned the edge way down and it cut like a laser beam. That was back when titanium framelocks were affordable!

Yeah I know about the bakcpsacer. But if I want to I can easily have accustom one made of something else put ion.

But I doubt I will ver use this knife. It will probably be my only non-user I own and will keep. I mean how many are around still brand new mint in box?.. I dunno?

My friend who has an amazing collection has one and let me check it out during one of our "show and tell" sessions.

He had kept it in NIB condition. The only thing I noted that was a negative was the lock bar was very stiff and a bit hard to unlock, but obviously I attribute that to the knife being in new & never used condition and needing to break in a bit. I'm sure it would have smoothed out with some use.

Otherwise I was very impressed, On all levels that matter to me. Perfect lock up, clean simple design, good size and of course it felt really good in hand. Great knife indeed.

That's a great piece of BM history you have there. Congratulations on a great find!

I've owned three over time and kept the best, a NIB satin second gen model. Due to lesser numbers. The BT version seems (say seemed) to be harder to locate than the satin. During the comparison storm between Benchmade and CRK fans there were many posts saying the 750 was made as a direct result of the popularity of the Sebenza - timing and all, that makes sense; but this (these) knives are amazing on their own simplicity and design, with bombproof Ti lockup and a lightly recurved ATS-34 blade. Of all the old school models next to the 710 this is right on top of the list:

I bought this BT on the auction site three or so years ago.
The pictures are from my for sale ad. They are definitely nice and solidly
built production Ti frame locks. I hope BM does some more Ti frame locks with high end steels in
the future.

Thanks everybody for the great stories and the pictures.

I will post mine when it gets here next week. Probably wed-thur.

HERE IT IS AS PROMISED

Got it today.

Totally mint in box and never opened and handled by anyone but an Benchmade employee.
This is my Christmas present this year and I love it!

:butterfly:

I said before that I will never own another shelve queem. Well, I was mistaken.
This is going to be my one and ONLY shelve queen. I just can't bring myself to use her.

Very nice. Congrats.

Thanks. Actually I did not expect to like this knife as much I do now.

This is like a sebenza x 710. Actually very much like a 710 in blade shape and ergos...what I mean is the blade is very LONG compared to the gip ratio. which I like in a knife. I don't care for large grips and short blades, which seems to be the fashion now.

This is also for tip down carry only. Which is what I want in a knife. Can't stand tip up!

Man I am tempted to carry this. What do you all think? Should I leave it be or carry it?

The tip down pocket clip and "non-ambidextrous" thumbstud are tailor made for me. Everything I want in a knife and more.

enjoy it, just do it. life is short, BTW, nice score! love the look of that thing.

I agree when your long dead and gone and that knife is in someone else's possession you will be looking down from above saying why didn't I just use it.

I don't want to sound all cheesey, and weird, but here are my thoughts. Nobody gets a deal, promising them tomorrow. I say if you like something, and you enjoy it, by all means use it. Thats why you got it right? Nobody said you have to baton cinder blocks in half with it, but enjoy having it. Just my 2 cents. YMMV

Okay you (and everyone else) is right. We tend to store things up and never use them . My parents did this with everythging and now I am turning into them. When you die you lose everything!@

I've had two of these, and they're my number one regrets in having traded/sold them through the years. Glad to hear someone has more sense than me. Jealous in TN...
