A couple of sisters purchased this boot knife for their older brother, Regis, for Christmas this year.
Regis is a friend of mine. He bought a couple of my knives when I first started making them. I don't believe I new much about what I was doing back then.:confused:
I think he will like this new one, the HD drive chain blade has a really nice edge on it.
The knife was made a couple months back; I just finished the sheath.

To many projects going:eek::):thumbup:

Its a 10 inch knife. The handle is sea cow rib bone with red mallee and copper.

Thanks for L:D:Dking, Fred

Fred, you ole fa*t,

Ya done good my boy. I cringe to think about those days when I didn't know what was really going on".

On a second thought, I am not really sure I know what I am doing these days.:eek:

That is a slick looking knife and a great looking sheath. I know he will be proud to sport it about. You guys that do in-lays really pi*s me off. Is it hand-sewn?

Hope to see you again soon.

Robert,

Aren't you glad you didn't quit? Back when you thought you new what was going on, but didn't really have a clue.
Just goes to show you; there is a lot to learn:)

The inlays take a lot of time to hand stitch, but they do add a lot.

Thanks Robert, I hope we get together this coming year. I think 2010 will be a good one.

Fred,
This knife shows you have a really good eye for what goes together well. With the handle having copper, bone, wood and spacers it could have looked real busy but you pulled it off with this one. They all provide a nice contrast to each other while still looking like they were meant to go together. Everything about this knife looks great, including that awesome sheath.

incredible workmanship. I love the way you coupled all the materials and the work seems perfect.
