Well I'm stuck between two choices of Emerson knives the CQC-15 and a Roadhouse, I was wondering what blade do you guys think I should get? Weight and size don't bother me and the knife would be a knife I use for just about everything I can do with a folder.

I have a minI CQC-15.... I don't think you'll regret either but highly recommend the CQC-15

It's not a matter of which one to get, but which one to get FIRST :) I like my Mini 15, handle is near perfect and I don't think I could come up with a better design if I had 100 years to do so. The 15 would seem quite harder to sharpen than the Roadhouse so if you are just getting into knives or chisel grinds, it could be something to consider if you DIY when it comes to sharpening.

My vote is get the 15, then the 8, then the 7, then the Roadhouse :)

I have a A100 and CQC 7. I have a mini commander coming tuesday. I think the 15 looks great and would function great. I never did like tanto grinds until I got a cqc 7. I think the roadhouse would be a more sturdy knife.

This is just my opinion, I've never held them before.

Just curious, are you considering the new desert roadhouse?

I recently got a 15 and it is my favorite Emerson knife. It used to be the A100, but all it took was putting the 15 to work and I was completely convinced. That is one of the best knife designs that Emerson has made to date. If we could only get a run of some CQC-6s, then we could be set. :D

Yes I was thinking about the Desert Roadhouse or a Super Roadhouse if I could find one, and the 7 is a wonderful knife the super 7 was my first Emerson.

+1 RedDevil. My CQC-15 is one bada** knife that will take hard use for a lot longer than I ever will. I showed it to my knife-store dealer yesterday (they don't carry Emersons) and had to clean it aftewards because he drooled all over it. This is a guy who gas been in the knife business forever.

I tried the mini CQC-15 and found it a little too small for my needs but it's also a superb knife. Happy cutting!

I would choose the standard Roadhouse...Desert or standard...over the CQC15 but that reflects the fact that I carry my Emersons as tactical blades only. I don't so much as cut a tomato with them.
